66 Suburban questions

Ok, So our company just bought a 66 Suburban and we are looking for a hard to find items. It seems that the third row seat seems to be impossible to find as well as the weatherstrip that goes around the clam shell doors in the rear. Does anybody have any reccomendations for us? We would really like to find these items to finish it off but I have looked and just cant seem to find anything. Any help would be great. Thanks, 2tontruck!

Re: 66 Suburban questions

Try a company called Steele Rubber. I have heard they have the best rubber for suburbans but I am not sure they have the clam shell door pieces.

As for the third row seat, just keep your eye out on ebay and craigslist and check the 60-66 parts board often on here. Someone on here just got a burb with all the seats not too long ago and didn't want them. Maybe he's posted them here. Good luck!

Re: 66 Suburban questions

I have not purchased the gaskets, but met a guy and saw them installed and he used Steele rubber for 67-72's to re-do his hatch gaskets. I believe it had all the square plugs and most things needed; always kept it in mind for when the time comes to do it.

X2

This is what I have always had in mind for when I buy those gaskets. I believe the '67-'72 Suburbans and the Blazers use the same rubber.
