Cool How to, custom

How are custom painted designs done, what are templates made of? I want something different for my c10, but don't know where/how to start. I've drawn and colored w/markers some designs. Any advice is sincerely appreciated. Thanks.

look for a place in your area that does sign's and sticker, they can take your draw'ns and make you a full size stencle.

For normal ones like http://www.eastwood.com/airbrush/stencils.html Or like said any sign shop can cut you one any shape and size you want.Or is you want to go nuts they do a full body wrap now it looks dead like custom paint but its a big sticker and can be replaced if scratched.A lot of race cars now use the full wrap over hours of custom painting its a lot faster to do.

^Ok, anyone out there did a full wrap on a truck c10 or not? I see DIY kits on ebay but unsure of the quality. Also, my truck some is painted some bare metal surface rust. Does the surface have to have special prep other than being leveled out? As always thanks!
