diagnostic scanners or programs????

I'm in the market for a diagnostic scanner. A new one is out of the question seeing I would only be using it periodically. I am wondering if there is a program and leads that I could get to put on my laptop, that would do the same thing as a handheld scanner, like the snap-on modis or comparable scanners.

check out autoenginuity.com. you can spend as little or much as you want and buy full modules just for what you work on. I like it much better than the snapon mt2500 (brick)

Re: diagnostic scanners or programs????

The MT2500 is a VERY capable scanner, Especially 96-06 GM trucks.

I have a Tech II updated to 2011 & a MT2500 updated to 2007, I only use the Tech II when I need to.

I like a stand alone scanner.
