67 GMC Component Questions
Nearing completion of complete teardown of my 1967 3/4 ton wideside. Starting search for replacement parts and having difficulty on two items:
1) The truck has rear leaf springs - I want to replace the bushings but only can seem to find parts for '68+ trucks and/or 4-wheel drive. Picture is below showing configuration. Any suggestions on sources? 2) The truck has power steering - before teardown the power steering control valve was leaking PS fluid (needed to add some to pump every month or so). I was looking for a replacement control valve or rebuild kit - can't seem to find one of these either. Advise/comments? (picture is below - I had just removed the engine and the pump is setting on the frame still connected to the control valve.) |

Re: 67 GMC Component Questions
I can have a set made up here in Washington and ship them to you. A little expencive but can be done. I would convert your power steering to an integral gear instead of the assist style your truck has now. WES

Re: 67 GMC Component Questions
Not that it will help, most likely, but the ,68 spring bushings will be the same as well as earlier. But,I know you can find 69-up anywhere and earlier is hard.
