Drive Shaft Diameter?
The sub originally had a driveshaft whose diameter was about as big as a soft ball, however picking up a junkyard driveshaft off a 3/4 ton truck to get a pinion that one had a diameter of about a base ball. Sub was a one piece, truck was a 2 piece.
Is there a difference in strength or an advantage of one over the other? |

Re: Drive Shaft Diameter?
For long shafts they use larger diameter for the rigidity over the span. The smaller diameter shafts are usually thicker wall for strength. Both will work, as long as the span isnt too long.
