Schwinns 1970 2WD Blazer in San Diego

Found it in pretty dam good shape with top and stock 350 motor and tranny with 75000 miles on it I guess about 13 years ago.
Options listed in glove box are 350 V-8, Turbo Hydra-Matic 350 Tranny, Back seat, Posi, Black top.
Who invented this ugly color and why? Original paint BTW.

Painted it a couple of years ago cuz the kids and I couldn't take the ugly color any longer. Actually restored it. Top stays off all year around cuz we live in San Diego and it is garaged.
Cruising up Palomar Mountain

Front yard

Front yard next to the grocery getter G55 AMG or the G wagon

In front of Hernandez Hide-Away, Lake Hodges

In the garage with the top above it strapped to the ceiling.

This original yellow from Chevy has a touch or tinge of green. I love Corvette yellow. I have 2 yellow ZO6s that we race.
Now this is yellow...At Willow Springs in January 2012.

Our entourage. Our team is called " More Money Than Talent "

Our new ACR Viper putting it thru the paces.

Oh I know what the color looks like in person.... Mine's growing on me lol. So much so that it's probably gonna stay this way for a while, even though it's getting a front clip replacement right now. Just don't feel like droping 6g on a full color change right now.

You don't want a pic of the current state, it'll make you cry. Had a woman in an Armada plow into my front fender. I've got a '68 clip for it, I wanted to retain the side marker lights.

Check this out. Didn't start as a build thread but looks like it's shaping up to be one.

Nice Blazer. I'm also in San Diego and also have a 1970 but its a 4x4. I'm located in the North Park area if you ever see a faded red lifted 1970 Blazer with a white top around, you'll know its me. Hope to see you around.

The Wife and I cruise Pacific Beach area alot as well as Balboa especially when we leave Seaport Village area. Restaurants in your area as well as Hillcrest are great. Todai Sushi bar down Texas street and East is hard to pass up also. I am born and raised in Dago or San Diego for you guys. LOL Hell I even cruise Chicano Park in the daytime. LOL

True. In no way was my earlier comment a knock on the orange. I dig a chevy truck in any shade. Even mulitiple shades like mine lol.
