Bench Seats and consoles
I've been driving the burb for about a month now and always find myself trying to put my coffee cup down, with no place to put it other than between my legs....
Those of you with bench front seats in your burb, what are you using as a console??... I've seen the ash tray cup holders like this...http://www.truckandcarshop.com/trucks60_72/t60_026.html I've also seen the console you can put on the seat...like this one http://www.truckandcarshop.com/trucks60_72/t60_027.html I've even thought about bucket seats and a console... What do you like??...

Re: Bench Seats and consoles
Amazon.com: Hopkins SC-BLA Console (Black):...
I bought this at Wal-Mart for about 10- or 12 bucks. I think it's made to sit on the seat, but I have it on the floor. Works great!

Re: Bench Seats and consoles
Similar frustration, and currently using a $10 cupholder on the floor similar to ones in the picture. However, I'm right in the middle of a winter project that uses the entire top section of a 67-72 cupholder console. And fabricating (out of hardwood that will be resin coated) a "base" that conforms to the contours and curves of the front bench seat. It will sit right on top of the seat, and probably held down with a strap under the seat. Work in progress. Mocked it up before burb went into storage for the winter, and looks like it belongs. Will post pictures when there's something to share.
