Tire Pressure
I have Mickey Thompson Sportsman 31x18:50x15 tires on the rear of my truck. I don't seem to get the full pattern of rubber on the street. Mostly it looks like 4 lines. I am using about 12 lbs of pressure. I have a 4 link setup with coil over shocks . I know you guys have the answer as to how much pressure to use. Thanks.

Re: Tire Pressure
12 psi is in the ballpark for the street tire. The four lines you are seeing are the tread pattern, which is about the correct contact patch width when the tire grows and the tread crowns.

Re: Tire Pressure
I have had several sets of these tire and they never wear ever. Thought it was something I was doing but started looking at other people that were running a sportsman and they too were having the same problem. Do you have a pic of the wear pattern, mine always wear on the inside edge.

Re: Tire Pressure
Thanks for the info. What I ment by four lines is that it looks like this // // with nothing in the middle making me believe that I was under inflated.

Re: Tire Pressure
Sportsman's or Sportsman Pro's? The regular treaded "MT sportsman" are hard as nails. You better have a ton of $#!+ in the back to get them to hook. I tried them long ago with a 4link double adjustable coilovers and never could get a 60 under 1.9, Changed to a Hoosier QTpro and went to high 1.5's without changing a thing. For the sportsman,, like said they don't wear because there so frickin hard.
