With all that stuff in there, I'm surprised you had room left for the dipstick!

After loading inn with all that stuff, the 4X4 dip stick probably looks pretty flat.

I would love to take a pic of the round dipstick tube, but I can't get my computer to send pics to the post site. I had Joe (Joe'sjunk) resize the two in this post, and then transfered them to the post. The dipstick tube was one of the original reasons I made the trip so...it, and the glass rode instyle on top of the seat cushion !! Maybe some one else can post a pic...I saw one not long ago on here. Jerry Moss ?? I think had a pic . longhornmail !!!!! I just noticed your new member status !!LOL !! very fitting!! And I was wondering if my measly 200 posts would elevate me to a new level. Hell, you do that in a WEEK.

longhornmail - Bet your right! It would be if I packed it.....

Class of 69 - Is that really one of the reasons you made the trip? Sounds like I need some education!

It was one of many, but I came home with a lot more than I originally intended. My 4x4 has power brakes, and the dipstick tube is VERY difficult to reach, and replace. The correct one is much longer, and curves to the front of the engine ...makes it reachable from the front, instead of the over the fender.

Oh my god. When I rebuilt my motor I had one of those that had a dent in it and I tossed it. It worked, just had a dent. I've been cursing myself for getting rid of it, but never tried to replace it. Now I have one of those shorter funky tubes that I have to basically crawl into the engine compartment to reach. Ever wish you could do something stupid that you did over???
