Original 72 Tailgate
I have for sale an original take off tailgate. It is off of a Cheyenne that was Dark Green Poly and White. This truck had a camper installed right after purchase and the tailgate sat in the same garage for 40 years.
It does have some paint damage from what looks like some type of chemical on the drivers side upper corner. It has surface rust on the end that sat on the ground for all those years, as well as some holes in the very end of the trim for the same reason. It has just a small ding on the inside of the gate about 6 inches below the handle screws. This is a fantastic OE tailgate for a perfect restoration. Would take little effort to make it right. The tailgate has no bows in it. The handle works as it should. I would like $475 local pick up only. I would be to afraid to ship this. It has survived this long without major damage and I would like to see it kept that way. May travel to meet up to 80 miles More specific pictures available upon request.

Re: Original 72 Tailgate
I am interested in this if you will ship. I am willing to take the risk on the shipping.

Re: Original 72 Tailgate
Do you think greyhound would be cheapest? I would want to build a box for it and ship it that way.

Re: Original 72 Tailgate
I have gotten 4 different gates via greyhound and had great luck with them. If you can and are willing to do the grey dog I am good. Let me know where to pay and I will get your money to you. Thanks Harold

Re: Original 72 Tailgate
How did the others pack their gates? I just want to ensure that it arrives in the shape it was sent in.
