New heater motor, sounds like helicopter

Wow, I replaced my old frose up motor with a new one and it sounds like a Helicopter in the cab, Anyway to alleveate this problem? Or am I stuck with it? These old trucks sure had bad air plenums in them. Oh well at least it don't stay to cold here in central Texas, pretty soon will be lookin for one of them Hi tech window swamp coolers for the summer

Is the rotor hitting something? It also may be out of balance.

Try running the motor on the bench and see if its making noise there.

No the motor is fine, it just makes a ton of noise in the heater box, I remember a friend in High School that had a 64 Chevy and His made the same whirrling noise, guess it is a added nostalgic thing for this old truck. Still all in all it warms up good.

Mine is hella loud too. When its on high it will drown out the 350 and the exhaust ends right under the floor board.

AMEN Brother, Glad mine isn't the only one, When I hit my 60th birthday I thought noises wouldn't bother me as much but its good knowing I can still hear a little.
