WTB: 60-66 Tailgate...Part II
I had an earlier thread for this, and thought I had found the perfect patina'd tailgate, but it fell through. When Randy (perro13) got to the guy's house in Merced, the tailgate had already been sold. Cash talks, and it's always first come, first served.
Again, I'm looking for a 60-66 Fleetside tailgate in the original white lacquer. Aged, weathered, patina'd preferred, but it must be straight. I would prefer it to be in Southern California within driving distance, but if the right tailgate showed up elsewhere, I'd make arrangements. If you've got something, please let me know. If you know somebody that's got one they want to sell, please let me know. If you've got a Craigslist ad, post it up if you can. Thank you to everyone that posted on my old thread. We got REAL close, but those kind of things happen.

Re: WTB: 60-66 Tailgate...Part II
Great news!
I was looking through the L.A. section of Craigslist and found this in East L.A. Went down there yesterday and bought it. The patina is exactly what I'm looking for. It'll clean up a bunch when I CLR it. The condition is excellent, no dents or rustouts. The paint is original, the lettering is original as well. This is the straightest, most original tailgate I have seen in a long time. After looking high and low for a long time, I was getting frustrated that I wouldn't find the "right" one. I finally did, and I'm happy!
