K&N filter kit increas mpg???

I have a 2009 silverado with the 5.3, and was wondering if the K&N kit will increase the mpg and if so by how much?

the computer will compensate for the increase air flow so there really wont be anything noticeable i personally hate k&ns because people over oil them and ruin the mass flow air sensor

That's exactly why I went with the AEM Brute Force on my Sierra. It's a dry flow system so no need to worry about over oiling.

is there anything I can do to up the mpgs, mileage is not terrible with the 6 speed, but around town I am pushing 13.7, not a big deal, got a new job and a nice big raise and get paid mileage, so the cost is covered, just really want to do something to the truck

Don't know how much you willing to spend but Hypertech makes and economy programmer that's suppose to help increase mpg. http://www.hypertech.com/products-max-energy-econ.aspx Here's a link for it.
