Offset for 73 to 87 vs 88 to 98
I found a good price on a set of used wheels. They were on a 95 Chevy, so I know the bolt pattern is right. I'm wondering if, in general, the offset for the 73 to 87 is about the same as the 88 to 98.
Does anyone have experience with something like this? Thanks in advance!

Re: Offset for 73 to 87 vs 88 to 98
I can partially answer this. I used to have a 95 Chevy that I put 15x10 with 6in backspace with 295/50/15 tires and the inside clearance was about 1/4 in from the leaf spring and the outside still stuck out just barely. Same set up on my 82 with 5in backspace I have about 1in clearance from the inner wheelwell and 1/4 in clearance from the outer fender lip. BTW what are the specs of the wheels you found?

I haven't seen the wheels yet. I asked the seller for the specs but am waiting on a reply. Thanks for the quick reply!

Yes the 73-87 has more room to play with than the 88-98.

So these will probably fit. If the wheels are too tucked in, I could buy spacers to get them to look right. I'll keep you posted!

Most likely they will be fine, but we will know for sure when you get the specs.

Re: Offset for 73 to 87 vs 88 to 98
The fronts have 5.25" bs and the backs 6.25". They tuck in a little more in the front than i would like but the price was right!
Thanks again for your help. Posted via Mobile Device

Those must be 20s. You will probably need a .75in to 1.25in spacers for the rear 6.25 backspace.
