Control Arm problem

I have these blf arms on my 78 c10. The lowers are hitting on the spring pocket. and it seem like they are too far forward. The lower cross shaft has a groove for the locator pin, I was going to redrill it and move the lower arm back 3/4", just enough to clear were it hits. It was mentioned to me that the angle on the arms might be far off.

I see no shock mount or sway bar mount on those lower a-arms.
Are they on the correct side of the truck?
Does the cross shaft have one or two drilled "dimples"?

Ya, these didnt have those options.
I tried both arms on both side, same thing.
Xshaft has one dimple

Is the frame resting on the ground? It looks like you need a coil spring or bag to push that lower arm down to its proper position.

BLF= Barely Legal Fabrication. I did a Google on them and got a lot of bad vibes. They seem to be big with the S10 crowd, but not a lot of good hype.

Even if I had a bag in there, the arm would limit the drop. These have a few inches of drop built in, so that is why the lower balljoint loooks so high up

I don't see the problem here, if the arm is high enough to hit the spring pocket then your bag would be fully compressed. Wouldn't you run out of travel before the arm ever got that high if you had a bag installed?

This leave almost 4" from the bag plate, so Id lose 1.5" of bag travel, so id be stuck like 3" from laying out.
Im going to try to grind a new dimple and move the arm 3/4 of an inch back

I'm still confused. When the arm hits the spring pocket you have 4" from the bottom of the spring pocket to the control arm? If so, how are you losing 1.5" of bag travel? That would mean the compressed height of your bag is 2.5" and that cant be right.

I would recommend you trim the spring pocket instead of moving the arm back

I believe my bags are 2.7" compressed. I might have exaggerated a bit.
I dont want to move it, since my bag plate mount hole is right there too. It was point out too that the arm is very far forward already. I know a little forward helps with castor but not that much

If you don't want to move the arm back then the only option left is to simply trim the spring pocket right?

In your first photo the A arm setup looks like it is going to have a lot of positive caster. The upper ball joint is way behind the lower. Is the location of the a arms correct? Did you compare the cross shaft with a stock cross shaft? Is this company you bought from a reputable source, any tech lines, or live body on the other end of the line to talk too? Something does not look right, either the upper or lower.

I meant I dont want to trim. Sorry I didnt read what I wrote. Id rather not cut anything, since I have never had to for any c10's I've had

THe company went under, Ive been getting help from a for former employee (taylor from MMW)
They are stock upper cross shafts, and I never matched them up

You must be running a real tall wheel to need to have that kind of compression in the front suspension to lay the crossmember, Id be curious to see what the camber is like at that height. Either way, looks like a bit of grinding and removing that brake line tab should take care of the problem.

I put it all together, cut the tab off, and ran into a new problem
Bag has a little travel, like almost 1/2" left, and my tie rods hit the frame, holding it up.
