Put some more stuff in my dash
http://
Installed the center AC vent, factory 1971 radio, new speaker, ash tray, factory lighter, and repaired and installed the HVAC controls. Also popped on the stainless pedal trim. All of these parts were missing from my truck, and I acquired them from a friend who was scrapping a 1971 GMC. I felt pretty lucky. I also installed a repro dash pad I got from Wes. Gary

Re: Put some more stuff in my dash
Looks like its coming together! A lot of guys trash-talk the reproduction dash pads, but i had one in my 68 and i think it looked better than both the originals in my 72's. Joseph

Where did you get the speaker? Have you tried it yet? |

Re: Put some more stuff in my dash
Well, I can't comment on the appearance/quality of the repro pad vs the original, cause the original was gone! I can say the repro looks good and fit well. I just hope it holds up with sun exposure.

It was recommended by this board, and they are great to deal with. The speaker works and fits great, almost identical to the original.
