Any company make a fiberglass front bumper?
I'm looking for a fiberglass front bumper for my 1969 C10. I talked to USBodySource and VFN and they don't make one. Anybody know of someone that sells one? I'm looking to lose some weight off the front end.
Thanks. Posted via Mobile Device

I'd venture to say if those companies don't,no one does. I guess you could have one custom made.

Re: Any company make a fiberglass front bumper?
I called them yesterday and they said they don't make one but if I give them my stock bumper they could make one from it. The only bad thing is they said it would take about 8 weeks. One good thing is there only about 10 miles down the road from me. Thanks turp mcspray.

Re: Any company make a fiberglass front bumper?
If you're committed to lose weight in the front one bumber won't make that much difference but you can also see if you can swap out the wheel wells, fenders and hood.

Re: Any company make a fiberglass front bumper?
Thanks, but I don't have the time to make something like that look good. I have gotten fiberglass parts before and they are not up to my standers so I end up spending alot of time on them to make them look good. The front bumper will save me 20lbs.

Re: Any company make a fiberglass front bumper?
I'm not a fan of them, but wouldn't a roll pan be the same if not more weight loss?

Re: Any company make a fiberglass front bumper?
Yep roll pan gives you better air flow and way lighter then a bumper....you can get fiberglass one but I would go with steel...

Re: Any company make a fiberglass front bumper?
What do you do about the fame that sticks out past the front fenders that the bumper bolts to? You must just cut them off.

Re: Any company make a fiberglass front bumper?
I got a roll pan from Mar-K. I got a quote from a local company on a fiberglass bumper and they said if I had a good bumper they could make a mode from it would be $350.

Brothers Trucks makes a custom front and rear roll pan for all the different model C10's. They are metal and can be bolted or welded on. http://www.brotherstrucks.com/departments.asp?dept=426

I've got a new steel '71 bumper on the way from Brother's that I'm planning to make a casting mold from this summer (no one makes 71-72 style with turn signal holes) |

Re: Any company make a fiberglass front bumper?
PO cut the front of the frame off on my 67 to add a roll pan. I will be removing both front and back roll pans to install bumpers when I get to that point in the restoration. Guess I will have to find a donor frame to cut the front off and weld back onto mine. Both of my roll pans are fiberglass if you're interested in them? I will make you a good deal on them! Lol
