Should I be worried about these tires?
I have a set of 33" tires on my truck with quite a bit of tread remaining. That said, I have no idea how old they are, I think they've spent a lot of time sitting. Today I noticed a big crack on the sidewall (where it says "LT")...should I be worried about this? They still hold air just fine...

Re: Should I be worried about these tires?
I would be as any cracked, worn tires are no good and you probably wouldn't want to smash you truck up going around a corner. It's not worth it man; put the money into new or used ones that are healthy. Craigslist always has tires if you cant afford new ones.

Re: Should I be worried about these tires?

Re: Should I be worried about these tires?
You have to change them as they could blow out as they warm up

Re: Should I be worried about these tires?
not road worthy, heck not worth off road either
wouldn't want it to go when all the weight is leaning on that one tire

Back on topic... Number21, I would not run those tires. Tread or not, they have passed their expiration date and appear to be unsafe. Not worth the risk, IMO. This might help you determine the age of your tires: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete...jsp?techid=11&

Re: Should I be worried about these tires?
I had tires that were a little worse than that.
Then one day while driving on the 520 bridge. It happened just as I was slowing down to get on the ramp to I5 south. It was on the left front, and fortunately nothing happened other than the tire coming apart.
