Home made cupholder

Building a 67' for my wife (no, really) and she wanted a cup holder. I couldn't find any I liked so I made one.
I had to sacrifice a valve cover in the process. It's no perfect but its functional.

Re: Home made cupholder

What did you use for the insert? I'm assuming you just attached it with the heater control screws?

Re: Home made cupholder

Sorry about the small pictures...

The cup holder is bolted to the floor. I used 3/4" pencil rod for some strengh. I didnt like the idea of bolting it to the dash. In the LARGER pic you can see the support rod bolted to the trans hump.
The inserts are cup holder inserts I bought a Marine store. Just like te ones in my boat.

Re: Home made cupholder

I bolted mine directly to heater control screws. Actually I used slightly longer screws. Holds really well without any vibration.
