Re: wtb a cluch bellcrank block bracket?

The V8's in my 2WD Suburban and the 4X4 pickup just have the ball screwed into the block on the block side if I remember correctly. I'll double check tomorrow on the 4X4 as the motor would be in the same place as in the Blazer. Both were factory 4 speeds.

okay thank you very much , i thought they just screwed into the block too but looking around on here it looked like some were on a bracket , i was a little confused i about got all my parts bought up to swap my blazer over to the four speed but saw those with the brackets that the ball was on and just thought it screwed into the block so i didnt know if i needed one or what was going on . my block has two holes in it where it looked like one of those brackets would go so it made me think i needed one

I went out and checked the 4X4 this morning. It just has the ball stud in the block. It is located under where the oil dip stick tube goes in the block if that helps.

Re: wtb a cluch bellcrank block bracket?

Ok so I am also at this point. I tried to screw the ball in the block but the bracket does not line up and the bellcrank (Z-bar) is too long. They are both from a 4x4. I found this on the forum http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s....php?p=6163996 pic #4. Can I just flip my 4x4 bracket and reposition it and shorten my bellcrank? 72 Blazer ex 4x4. Will post pics tomorrow.
