Two in 24 hours

I bought 2 trucks in 24 hours. Bought 69 C10 last nite, took off what was worth anything scrapped the rest. Found another big score on CL this afternoon, went and got it, and now its ready for scrap. I think Im sick.

69 C10. Already pretty well disassembled so it was easy.

Big score, 70 C30. Buddy buckets and air pressure tach dash. Sucker is heavy!

Re: Two in 24 hours

Just to remind you that the power steering boxes for these old trucks are getting hard to come by and most of us would love to buy them off you and I hope your saving all the engine brackets off of these trucks cus there are a lot of us guys that are trying to put some of are trucks back to stock.

Not too stab my self in the foot but the power steering boxes for these old trucks have a core price of 35-40.00 each or more depends where you are and the th350 and 400 trans most trans shops are paying 100.00 for them and the steering columns for auto are worth 50.00 to 100.00 and the ladder bar stuff for them trucks more people want them.Just keep in mind there are a lot of parts on them trucks that local guys might want to buy off you or PayPal customers that's my 2 cents But engine brackets are a must hold on even the heater outer box are getting hard to come by.One other thing them Fans on them collect them there are a lot of guys on the west coast them like them 7-8 blade 16 inch fans that can take the clutch those are major looked for on trucks here on the west coast

Re: Two in 24 hours

Why are you scraping the one ton? It looks like it has potential. One tons are hard to find.

Re: Two in 24 hours

Trust me guys I save what needs to be saved, its all $$$. This isnt my first rodeo, anyone who has parted a truck knows you pull what is $$ and scrap the rest. Time is money.

Randy----I was wondering how you didn't pick it up. Right up the road from ya! You didn't miss much on it. The dually was total impulse buy. I saw buddy buckets and dash and about peed down ma leg.

This dually, just like the last one I had is bad, hacked up everywhere. Body is done. Has been repainted about 4 times, mud everywhere, floors are gone. It has a 350 just setting in it. Its 157" wheel base, its long as hell. Flat bed is welded to frame? Not worth time to me to sort it out. Scrap is pushing $250 a ton here.

Spid is interesting though.

Re: Two in 24 hours

That does have some pretty cool options, I like that last one.."fuel tank cylindric" does it even have a hole where the fuel filler was suppose to be? It doesnt look like it but I saw one once that had the same option and it was plugged.

Re: Two in 24 hours

I like to add I know that most of the guys that do this are not new to the rodeo. But i just wanted to say even tho you might have 20 of them 16 or 15 inch 7-8 blade fans.there are over 100,000 people getting into these trucks every week.the factory parts is what every one ids going to be looking for.So please save as much as you can. Here in calif its 459.00 a ton for tin and 500.00 for steel.

But again Did not mean to say anything out of place
