Hit-n-miss engines, anyone?

Anyone into the old flywheel, hit-n-miss, or steam or early gas tractors on here?

I'll start: I go to the shows every year near me, and even own a 1-1/2 HP IHC M that I've been re-united with for the first time in 10 years today.

Anyone else?

My boss has a couple sitting in the showroom and just bought two more, Here's a couple pics I have on hand but don't remember the year/specs on them.

He's got a couple old Gravely D-model tractors as well;









He also has a bunch of old two man gas chain saws that were built back when REAL MEN were made !

An old farmer friend i know still has his grandfathers (sharpless?) hit and miss engines. He cranks them all 2 or 3 times a year. He knows where each one was and what they powered on the farm! They are big and weigh a ton or two and are about 1 1/2 horsepower! Neato!

I just acquired an old hit & miss that used to belong to my wife's grandfather who just passed away. She's very sentimental about it.

I'm waiting on a really good idea before I start the renovation. The ice cream churner isn't bad, but it feels overdone. I was hoping for a different idea. I don't truly need anything useful, so an idea similar to an ice cream churner sounds good, something more of a novelty.

Any ideas?
