66 front suspension Q's

ok so the daughters ride will be home soon...want to change it from 3/4 ton to 1/2 ton. rearend is easy... but what should i look for for the front. 5 or 6 lug doesn't matter, but i already have a 6 lug 1/2 ton rear just waiting so i'll probably stick with this route. i would like to do something from '73 and up for the front due to the rubber bushings and such. can i swap a complete front suspension with out a ton of work? i know there will be some stuff to do, but i'm talking like when i put the camaro sub frame under my '59. (kinda major surgery to me.) any thoughts or ideas? i was kinda hoping to find something at our local u-pullit yard. (at least the crossmember and arms an such)... thanks guys.

The 73-87 front suspension package will interchange/swap over to your 66 w/minimal issues. You can also swap just the suspension pieces to your existing 66 x-member.

To match the 6-lug bolt pattern of the rear, just use aftermarket 6-lug disc brake rotors available here from supporting board vendors. They're a direct swap for the 5-lug rotors.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
