Standard Parts Catalog?
Anyone have a PDF of the GM standard parts catalog?
I was thinking I'd go through and make a list of the "most used" car-specific fasteners (all the goofy flange nuts, U-nuts, J-nuts, trim screws, etc) and then figure out where they're available today. Sounds like a lot of work until you've spent a couple of days with your hands in a vibratory tumber... some things are better replaced than cleaned :-) It'd help though if I had a list of the GM part numbers because then I could cross-reference and find ones close to original... but to do that, I'd need the standard parts catalog, which is one I don't have. |

Re: Standard Parts Catalog?
I'm sure you probably have this already.

Re: Standard Parts Catalog?
I've got both of those; the Standard Parts catalog is where you find "standard" parts like nuts and bolts and clips and various things that were shared amongst all vehicles and all years, so they don't both to list them in the indivual manuals.
I also have the parts catalog, but again they don't list the standard parts, they just reference the 8.XXX section which is in the standard catalog. The assembly manual does occasionally list part numbers, but not often. I found a copy on gmpartswiki, but they have pictures of each page so its not searchable. It'll do in a pinch though. |

Re: Standard Parts Catalog?
Maybe I'm dense, but I don't see it there. I see the 46-72 truck parts (122M) but that's not what I'm referring to.
This what I'm speaking of: http://www.gmpartswiki.com/getpage?pageid=19429 Is it on the 2heeldrive site (or some other year, as long as it's post-72) and I'm just not seeing it? |

Re: Standard Parts Catalog?
That's OK, I actually only need to 70 or 72, but I'm still not seeing it. Which of the dozen or so files there is the Standard Parts catalog?
It might be staring right at me, but I'm sorry, I just don't see which file you mean. Thanks, Dave |
