Wiper Motor Wiring

Trying to wrap up the wiring on my 72' restore and am having wiper motor issues. Blew a fuse immediately (direct ground short), checked the three wires on the switch and all were going to ground. Pulled them off the motor and found that actually all the terminals themselves on the motor are going to ground? Motor shorted out? I don't know if the motor worked before the restore so I'm at a loss. Thanks

Re: Wiper Motor Wiring

You should have one power wire to the motor, the rest will be grounds. The switch is on the ground side of the circuit.

This thread is a great reference, http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=413551.

Led me to realize that my wiper motor is just plain smoked, and that I had more than a wiring issue. Oh well, rain-X works for me.
