Ammeter not hooked up?

When I bought my blazer the ammeter wasn't hooked up and I don't see any wires for it, could someone tell me why this might be and how I would go about wiring it in? Also wondering how it was wired up from the factory

Re: Ammeter not hooked up?

Its all wired in the dash panel by way of the printed circuit overlay, then thewires are fed by a dash panel plug. I think all the wires are black and black with a white tracer. From the dash plug it goes into the fuse box, thru the fuse box, into the engine harness wiring, out across the core support( this is where the two 5 amp fuse holers are), into the junction block. Might be wrong on the last statement

Go to the electrical section, and look at the colored wiring diagram at the top of the page

Check those two inline fuses. One on either side of the radiator. When I first bought my truck they were broken. I replaced them and wha la, the ammeter worked.
