Tire Question... RWL or Blackwall??

Hi guys,

I am going to purchase some 265/75R16 tires soon and would like your opinions. which would look better. Raised White Letters, or just plain blackwalls facing out? And, if you like RWL, which branding do you like the best? I personally like the BFG Radial T/A, or Cooper Cobra, but they don't make them this big. Preferably I'd like a tire model that is 'close' to what they had in the mid-late 70's. Here's a pic of my truck for reference. Thanks guys!

Blackwall, especially on a C20. I've seen a few C20's with RWL tires and (to me) they just don't look right.

Re: Tire Question... RWL or Blackwall??

I think Already Gone nailed it - I'm ok with RWL on a C10, especially BFG T/A's on rallies, but in a C20 (or 30) - blackwalls just seem "righter"...
Oops, I've voted twice now.

I prefer black wall, but if you do go white letters I like BFG the most.

I vote for the blackwall, it is a much cleaner look. The RWL sometimes make it look too busy even more so with a truck with two-tone paint and lots of trim.

Re: Tire Question... RWL or Blackwall??

Years ago I preferred RWL.... especially on a 4x4.... especially with a BFG.

Nowadays, it's blackwalls out, thankyouverymuch.

Re: Tire Question... RWL or Blackwall??

With your white two tone, I think blackwall out. I ran each side different for a couple weeks. My truck is solid color so I went with all RWL in the end.
It was a toss to me.

I'm thinking RWL is old school and kinda cool. I just might do it when I get new shoes.

Sounds like the masses pick blackwall. All very valid opinions as well. After thinking about it I agree. A C-20 shouldn't have flashy tires.

Thanks guys!
