What is this bracket
I built the jig that KIM57 designed and it worked great for removing and installing the cab buy yourself, many thanks for the idea. However, I have a question. What is this bracket and how is it supposed to be mounted, I didn't remove it but it seems to be in the way now?

Re: What is this bracket
Looks like a bent over clutch or brake lever

Re: What is this bracket
If there is one on both sides then it looks like a inner fender mount.

Re: What is this bracket
Nope, the inner fender mount is just to the right of that thing. Don't remember that being on mine. I would think it could be part of the shift linkage for a column mounted 3 speed, but it's been so long since mine wasn't part Camaro I don't remember. I'm a member of the "when in doubt, cut it out" group.

Re: What is this bracket
Could that be part of the brake pedal linkage?

Re: What is this bracket
Thought he was refering to the bracket on the cab. The bent over clutch bracket was hard to see.

Re: What is this bracket
yep, if it was straight it would align with the clutch pedal hole. Unbolt the lever on the inside and it slides out.

Re: What is this bracket
Ahhh, I straightened it out and yes it does line up with the clutch hole. This truck did have a manual transmission. I still don't know how it got bent over. Oh well. Many thanks. I am putting a 700R4 in it so I won't even need this bracket.

Re: What is this bracket
it is the bracket for the clutch engagement/disengagement rod. I just got finished removing mine when putting in my mustang II front with V8 automatic trans.
