More Rust

Here's a little rust on the battery box, CS & inner fender of a Sub I got from the Oregon coast. Salt & battery acid are not our friends. I am switching all of the good trucks over to Optima Batteries---no fumes leaking like other batteries.

Don't let it get you down. Not much difference between welding in half a floor as there is a whole one. Everything you need is readily available and cheap to buy.

Go for the whole sh'bang; floor, floor braces, outer/inner rockers, etc. Once your in there, it's not so bad.

I did the patch panel thing - just about every patch panel they make. If I had it to do over again, I'd look for another truck (or at least a cab) from Arizona or someplace dry. Nothing ever seems to go back together perfect........ Good luck, Scott

I feel your pain yellowgmc. Every K5 that I find for sale around here looks like your truck. Hard to find a good project to start with.
