wow - i think this is a sweet truck (ebay) 72 camper highlander 3/4 tonner

I'm normally a half-ton sorta guy, but these 20's are growin on me... I think this is a beautiful truck! No idea what the reserve is - but it is a nice combo - just the combo of custom camper + highlander makes it pretty rare considering highlanders were just end-of-year 72 and custom campers weren't exactly "everyday" trucks either - the combo is pretty sweet. Anyway, enjoy.

btw, does "spruce" green = dark olive poly - OR - "Dark" green (the two dark greenies in 72 that I'm aware of)? I've never seen it listed as spruce on a SPID before (only on brochures, etc...) Thanks, just curious.

good point - I didn't even notice, I was blinded by the plaid I guess...

THEN again, it is a Michigan truck, would've probably only used it 3 weeks out of the year

Love the black ext/red interior combo. Not a huge 307 fan, but it's got more guts than my lttle 283, so I can't throw stones...

Re: wow - i think this is a sweet truck (ebay) 72 camper highlander 3/4 tonner

Is the custom camper a longer long bed? I see it's not a Longhorn (which RPO option would that be worded as if it were there?) but the bed does just "look" longer to me - am assuming it's just a normal LWB setup as long as it's not a Longhorn. ??

Re: wow - i think this is a sweet truck (ebay) 72 camper highlander 3/4 tonner

Nice truck Jacko, But it appears to have issues. So here is what I'm seeing in trying to answer your questions.
#2 The color code is 466 or 506 Spruce Green/Dark Olive Green and 521 White. The other two tone codes of this combo. were 564 and 589. Based on this code I'd say this truck only had a white top and the side panels were added later. Also of note is the fact that the lower body side molding inserts are woodgrain and not the correct black. Additionally the DF2 Camper mirrors are missing as well as their holes. New paint here.
#8 The truck is a regular C20 and not a Longhorn. Its easy to tell from the pictures but the glove box code is the confirmation. This truck is model designation "CE20934" if it was a Longhorn it would be coded CS21034 or CE21034 for a C20 or CS31034/CE31034 for a C30. It breaks out this way "09" has a 54" cab to axle dimension and "10" has a 60". The short beds are "07" that have a 42" dimension.

Good point about the mirror holes, probably for sure a repaint. However almost all if not every highlander i've seen had the woodgrain lower molding.

The truck is obviously not a longhorn, but I don't see where he claims it is, so I guess I am missing why you are questioning it.

I agree with SS Tim about the white in the middle not being original. My Custom Camper also was a white top/olive green originally.
It's a beautiful truck but those mirrors just have to go.
And he should've found someone that knows how to use a camera...

Nice truck. I love C/20s. They are all longbeds. I have never heard Dark Olive Poly called Spruce Green before now. It's odd they'd use two different names. They do that with "fleet colors" that are also offered as a production color, such as Dark Green/Woodland Green or Tangiers Orange/Omaha Orange.
