1960 Panel
Hello all. I just thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Mark and I'm from Ventura, CA.
I recently purchased a 1960 panel with the extra long cargo area (10ft). Just a rolling body, no drive train and the body while very straight has rust along the drip rail (all the way around) and a bit around the windshield. I'll get some pics up later. But I do have a request. Does anyone have a stock 60 dash that I can get pictures of. Someone really stripped out this truck and all I'm left with is a shell. I would like a couple of pictures of a stock dash for reference as I start to put it all back together (over the next few years) thanks |

Re: 1960 Panel
Welcome to the forum. Here are some very poor photos of my dash taken 20 years ago when it was stock. Hopefully someone else will provide better examples:
And here’s a page from the 1960 Owners manual which may be of interest:

Re: 1960 Panel
I'll get some pics up of what I have.
Yeah, its a 1 ton. Chevy. (I think) Thats what the Pink says anyway. There are no badges anywhere left on it and I didnt think to check the vin/ID plate. Unfortunately I dont have room for it here at the house so it sits in storage until I can work on it. I pull it out, do a little work and then back to storage until the next time I have money to do some more to it. Its a PITA but you got to do what you got to do. |
