How did you cover your coils - LS motors?
I've asked this on another forum but didn't get many ideas. I know you can hide the coils underneath but I'd rather leave them and cover them up. I've seen guys build tall valve covers that look like they fit over the stock covers and coils but not sure how they did it. What other ideas do you have?

Your speaking my language.
You can always get a coil relocation kit. Theres a bunch out there. Just google "coil relocation kit" then fine tune your search for LS1, LS2 etc. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-t...ation-kit.html I know Katech racing makes one as well.

Old thread but I went a little differant route. I covered the whole engine since I used the truck intake. Going to have it painted and pinstripped soon I hope.

Made these for $14 and a afternoon..a little paint and button heads they will be as nice as anything out there

Man,I love the LS engine,I drive a truck that has one every day...but for looks,I still heart the small block.What you see,is what you get,all out in the open.
All of these covers kind of make me sad. And my LQ4 still has that great effective but ginormous water pump,and butt ugly accessory brackets. I guess the factory has wrestled with this too,and has come up with the conclusion to just cover the entire thing up,like in the Corvette,or whatever engine bay they try to dress up. |
