Left turn signal issue

hello, i have recently put LED lights in place of the taillights and they have been working great. my right turn signal works great. just like it did before the replacement. now the left turn signal works when the parking lights are off, but flashes at a different speed from the right turn signal. when the parking lights are turned on the left quits working and the right works like it always does. any suggestions?

Re: Left turn signal issue

Check your left front bulb. If the bulb is ok, check its ground. I'm betting the turn signal element in the front bulb is fried.

Re: Left turn signal issue

i just went out and checked, when the left turn signal is on, the front does not blink. when the right is on both front and back blink. i switched the front bulbs and the right still blinks, the left does not. so i know it is not the bulbs. any other possible solutions? all fuses are intact

If that is the case I'd make sure that left front lamp holder is grounded.
On my truck the ground is good but there is a bad connection in the lamp holder. If I jiggle the lamp holder where the wires go into it, it works. I need a new lamp holder which on a 69/70 is the assembly that is attached to the grill. (In my case it is the parking light that is intermittent. In other words the blinker always blinks on command but the parking light doesn't always light up when commanded)
