Re: LSX - parts for a carb'd LSx and more for sale

Do you have any more info on the tranny? Also do you have any idea what shipping would cost to 85745? I'm very interested in tranny with the pan and the bracket for the carb.

thanks,
ulises

Re: LSX - parts for a carb'd LSx and more for sale

You mention trans, pan (the steel one?), and bracket. Does this mean you are not interested in the TCI servo kit, TCI/Holley cable corrector, and Hughes aluminum pan? Or am I misunderstanding and your interested in it all?

Trans was built by local racer/transmission shop owner for 500+hp and it holds my LSx fine in 1st and 2nd but seems to slip into 3rd/4th (could just be the torque convertor). So rather then running it in auto (it shifts too early) and unless I'm just put-putting around... I generally shift it manually and it does fine. Depending on how much power your motor has you may want to freshen it up before installing.

I have no idea what shipping would be, but when I sold my 383 the guy had it picked up by a contractor that advertises in craigslist and pulls a 20-24ft trailer. He had a early 50's truck on it already plus a few other items with more in the back of his truck. Evidently from what he said there are lots of guys that do this. They schedule trips and offer space on their rides to others by the mile. Much cheaper then standard shipping from what I understand.

Interested in the intake - what's the part #? It looks like its got some scuffs in the pics - are those just light scratches?

Thanks.

Re: LSX - parts for a carb'd LSx and more for sale

If you're talking about pic1 then yes...it came with a few light scratches on it. Never bothered me. Its a genIV dual plane intake for standard deck height motors...and a rare beasty. #19244037

I'd like to get in line on the Carter pump, please let me know if the sale doesn't go through. And the filter on the left in the pic if it's for sale.

Re: LSX - parts for a carb'd LSx and more for sale

Update - Carter pump SOLD

I realized I could add some parts for those rebuilding an older LSx or wanting to add VVT to one.....Want to freshen up the valvetrain on an older LSx motor?

Pulled from a "new" '09 LY6 w/0 miles.
Stock LY6 beehive valve springs w/retainers and keepers -
Stock LY6 push rods -
Stock LY6 VVT cam (could be used w/o VVT - I'll try to get specs) - package deal for $100

Will you ship those spindles? Area code 46227?

If so I'd take them, with the brake lines and the holley tune up kit. PM me price.

Whats the deal with the tranny, is it sold? Mileage, rebuilt, etc? Assuming all of the above is in good shape/realtively new I'll take it, would need to chat about the pan.

Re: LSX - parts for a carb'd LSx and more for sale

I actually just blew my transmission money on a rear Wilwood kit this afternoon. I assumed this was sold. If I knew it was just the torque convertor I'd pony up on this too but not enough cash to now take the "chance"

Good luck with the sale.

Re: LSX - parts for a carb'd LSx and more for sale

For anyone using a used LSx with some miles on it....to freshen it up a bit I have like new valvetrain components to freshen up an older high mile motor. I reduced my price for the 0 mile '09 LY6 6.0L beehive spring set, retainers, and keepers, pushrods, and the cam.

$100 for it all, plus shipping.

Also......200-4r deal did not go thru...so the 200-4r and/or its performance parts still for sale!

Re: LSX - parts for a carb'd LSx and more for sale

I'm interested in the spun aluminum air cleaner. Could I get a shipping cost to 83815 (business address) if shipping with UPS or FedEx, or to 83835 if shipping with USPS. Thanks
