Ever make your own floor supports?
I ordered a pair of rear floor supports locally but only 1 came in. While driving home, I realized that I could easily make this part.
Took me about 15 minutes to make the pattern (works for right or left) and I made the support in about 30 minutes. The metal was cut from an old hood so I know it's good quality. Makes me want to return the $22 dollar repro and make my own for the other side!

Bob, Can you fax me the pattern? I just love making my own parts. I would take the one off my cab but it is the only thing keeping the water from splashing up and getting my pants wet...LOL!

It's nice to take a little time and save some money in the end. And your's will probably fit better and be of higher quality

Hey bobs409
Do you have a metal break (brake?) of some sort or are you just bending over a 2X4 or something similar? Your floor support looks professional.

Just used my 6 inch bench vise. Doing the bends was the easy part. A matter of minutes. Took longer to cut out the hood. (I used a jigsaw with metal cutting blade)
All your doing is the same thing the repro people do, only on a smaller scale. I can do this type of work but embarrasingly, never used a fax. LOL I think the pattern would be too big for one anyway. You could always buy a repro, make the pattern and then send it back. You only need one as all you do is flip the pattern over to make the mirror image for the other side. Once you see a repro and hold one, you'll see how easy it is to make.
