69 Front End Help
I have 69 C10 that I am currently working on and one thing I need and want to do is the drop spindle and 2" lowering spring. The truck has 6 lug disc brakes in the front already. My question is this. A freind of mine had a complete front end from his 63 that he is willing to give me. I am looking at possibly taking that front end apart (to keep my truck mobil) and cleaning it up and putting the aftermarket parts on it then just doing a quick change out and just add swap the disk brakes to this 63 front end. Is there a huge difference between the two? the only thing I know for difference is the control arm shafts have zirk fittings on the 63 and the 69 has bushings. I just want to know if it will be a headache for me or a relatively easy process to complete this. Thank you for your help in advance.

Your going to have to find out what spindles, rotors, and calipers are on your truck now. The only thing I can see you using from the '63 front end is the a-arms. Everything else is different,... including the balljoints already installed in the '63 a-arms.

Re: 69 Front End Help
Since you said yur '69's current suspension has bushings in the a-arms,... I will assume it has 73-87 parts installed.
Can you get us some pics of your front suspension?

Re: 69 Front End Help
Yeah I can get pictures tomorrow. I basically want the 63 front end just for the A-Arms. The ones on there now are all chopped up. Bumb stops cut off, various hole in them. As long as I go with the old style grease able bushings I can run the a-arms with drop spindles to fit the disk brakes right? I'll send pics like I said tomorrow and maybe that will help. Thanks

Re: 69 Front End Help
You can run the '63 a-arms,... but you will have to install the correct year balljoints.
(73-87?)

Re: 69 Front End Help
Ok here is the pictures. So I can put those 63 a-arms on this set up and just run a drop spindle from a 73-87 so I can maintain the 6 lug disk brakes right? Thank you.

(1-1/4" wide rotors) The 73-87 trucks also had a light duty version. (1" wide rotors) Got any pics of the 6-lug rotors? They must be aftermarket.
