AL Tilt Column extravaganza! - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

5 tilt columns for sale : 2 vans, 2 motor homes and 1 truck. Add $25 each for shipping. Steering wheels will be removed for shipping.

Truck column - Needs a some work. It's a little loose (inner bolts need tightened) and shifter pin hole has some wear. Good wiring. $175

Motor homes - Same shaft length as truck. The linkage arm has a factory bend in it, but can be used as is. They are REALLY nice and tight and came off very low mile vehicles. Notice one has adapter for cruise and intermittent wipers (this can be removed) $225 each.

Vans - 1 is in good condition - $150 ; the other one has wear in the shifter pin area and needs lever - $100

Heavymetal has backed out so all columns are available. DSALRAM - What else do you need pictures of on the truck column? Mcbassin - your next on the truck.

One motor home SOLD to thecatseye.

DSALRAM - The bolts can be accessed and tightened, just takes a little time. As for the shifter pin hole, I've heard of people filling with JB Weld and smoothing out. It is functional now, there's just some play in the shift lever. Besides that, just needs cleaned and repainted. Could use new levers (available aftermarket).

Which one of the above picture(s) are of the truck tilt? I know you said it needed some bolts inside tightened up, that's no biggy, what about the hole that is wore out? which picture is it? Pretty sure I can fix that too. Just want to be clear on which one is the truck tilt. What other new parts will I need to make this ready to install? thanks

Look at the 2nd post with "truck and vans" as a heading. The truck column is pictured in the first 2 pictures, the second being the shifter pin hole. This column was pulled from a running 72 Cheyenne. Again, the main thing it needs is just cosmetic stuff - new levers, fresh paint. It has good wiring, bearings seem OK. I think the cancelling cam may have a crack where the signal lever attaches.
