Fuel Pump ?
I'm putting a LS2 in my project.
What is the best external fuel pump and filter to use? Do I need to do anything special as there is no return line from the engine back to the tank? This is all new to me and I don't want to screw it up. Kim |

Re: Fuel Pump ?
Run an external 255lph Walbro pump and get a filter/regulator for a 99-04 Corvette.

Re: Fuel Pump ?
The corvette filter/regulator has a return line built in. So you will have to run return line back to the tank. But the walboro and vette filter works good as stated above.

Re: Fuel Pump ?
Hey that resembles my setup! My Vette/Wix filter/reg is on the inside tho. I like your fuel pump brackets better...had to make mine from scratch and that's all I had. Guess I could trim it tho.

Re: Fuel Pump ?
there's a big Trick Flow aluminum canister pre-filter, then the Walbro pump, then and a Vette filter/regulator with a return line. Just filtering before the pump to keep it clean and the filter/regulator setup takes care of the fuel pressure and provides the return path...and post-filter capability. overkill????

If it's an aftermarket billet rail, run the vette filter and cap off one end of your fuel rail. If it is a stock rail, run the return line back to the tank.

Re: Fuel Pump ?
Hey Guys,
I am haven't been able to confirm the correct fitting needed for the out flow to the motor side of the filter. I had thought it was a 3/8" outlet. Is this it by chance? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/RUS-640940/

Re: Fuel Pump ?
too broad of a question. Short answer is yes, they work fine and if setup correctly there should be no issues with them lasting.

Re: Fuel Pump ?
my whalbro pump is at the back of the cab...should I move it closer to the tank??...I've heard of these pumps being better "pushers" than "pullers"?....

Re: Fuel Pump ?
If you use any quick connect fittings, make sure you get the newer ones that have the C-clip instead of the plastic retainer, the ones with the plastic retainer have been known to come off under preasure. Heres the link to a post I did about the fittings http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=502781
