Steering Coupler ??? Help please - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have a 73-87 style front end going under my '68. The steering shaft I have for the 73-87 has a sort of vibration damper on the upper end that does not appear to fit my truck tilt. It is a double D style end versus the spline on my column. My question is: Am I missing a part or do I need some sort of special coupler to mix the years?

p.s. I am switching from a 3 on the tree to factory truck auto tilt

You will need a rag joint and intermediate shaft from a 69-72 will fit your 73-87 gearbox.
