1969 C20 Build Sheet
I found the build sheet under the seat. It lists the engine as UB. What does this code mean? Its a 69 C20 Custom with a 4 speed and big block. Trying to figure out if its an original big block truck.

Re: 1969 C20 Build Sheet
Can you post a picture of the build sheet? Have you checked the SPID or engine ID code? Also are you trying to verify if the truck had a BB (as built) or that the engine you have is the original BB?

Re: 1969 C20 Build Sheet
not a very good picture. the glove box door has been replaced with a different one so the sticker info is inaccurate. i haven't checked the block numbers but previous owner said he did and was told it is a 1970 402? I know 69-70 is when the 396 to 402 changes occured but trucks/build sheets/SPID have been known to say and be all kinds of things.

Re: 1969 C20 Build Sheet
For 1969, UB corresponds to a 307 V8 with a manual transmission according to the Chevrolet Truck Parts Catalog (p. 26).

Re: 1969 C20 Build Sheet
On another thread here, I found the 307 was UA.

Re: 1969 C20 Build Sheet
"UB" is a 1969 307 cid 200 HP 2BBL V8 truck manual trans. application. It can be confirmed to some extent by also running down the partial numbers on the frame mounts (box 16) and the carb (box 26) with a parts manual.
