That's cuz they're shorties
But I personally think 2" primaries are WAY too big for a small block. (obviously, they're made for a BIG BLOCK) The best fit for LOW trucks with Small Block's are those dynomax's that people have (from a G-body) or JBA's (which are shorties)

Vendor: Hooker Headers
Product Line: Hooker Competition Headers
Material: Steel
Finish: Ceramic

The best headers for your money.

Chevrolet: 396-454, 1971-74 passenger car, 1964-74 Chevelle, El Camino, Caballero and Sprint, 1970-74 Monte Carlo, 1970-72 Camaro, 2 in. primary tubes, 3 1/2 in. collectors, ceramic coated Competition headers

If you're looking for a header designed for maximum street performance, look no further than this pair of Competition series headers from Hooker. They're designed for the value conscious buyer with stock or mildly modified engines. Made from durable 16 gauge steel, each set features 5/16 in. thick flanges that are heavy enough to maintain header integrity yet pliable enough to seal each exhaust port.

Sold as a pair.

Scotty,

uhh....

Chevrolet: 396-454, 1971-74 passenger car, 1964-74 Chevelle, El Camino, Caballero and Sprint, 1970-74 Monte Carlo, 1970-72 Camaro, 2 in. primary tubes, 3 1/2 in. collectors, ceramic coated Competition headers.

See the 2 in. primay tubes in this??

Mark,

if this is the headers you have, why? It says for stock or mildly modified engines. Let's face it, your engine is anything but mildly modified.
