4WD big block motor mount perch

Hey guys, before I go and swap in the 454 to my 4wd frame, I just wanted to ensure the motor mount perch is correct. I went and got new BB motor mounts for the 454 and when I measured everything up, the only difference between the small block and the big block, is that the big blocks are a bit longer.... With that being said, I was wondering if I should just stick to the small block motor mounts because the perch that they bolt into are shorter....The BB mounts wont fit. Is this ok? Thx!
