Re: Custom console?
They are only 10 miles from you. maybe they have one installed in a 67-72. I've often wondered how they fit. By the way, you live in one of the best places in the world.

Re: Custom console?
Those are interesting units but I don't have buckets in the 71.

Re: Custom console?
I saw that after a second look and the cup holder part sits 5 inches off the floor which would be just about right with my 90 seat.

Re: Custom console?
there are several pics of them installed in 67-72s if you click on the link - but i'm sure you saw that. They do add a nice custom touch, in fact, it's a VERY custom touch... If the whole truck is very custom, then it'd be pretty sweet. If the rest of the ol truck is relatively stock, I'm thinking a 73+ cupholder console might look more at home (for those of you blessed with buckets, that is). My 2 cents only. Interested to see what you find out from them - the custom console really does allow you to do some cool stuff as far as radios, etc etc. Looking fwd to some more posts once you visit! Thanks for posting.

Re: Custom console?
Went up and met with this guy today, real nice guy.The console looks "very stock".He has taken time to flare the mold where is goes against firewall and under dash.I will be ordering one when the interior goes back together.I am adding a vintage air system and the center vent can be installed in the console rather than above radio{mine is a non a/c cab},pretty slick deal. Will post pics when done.

Re: Custom console?
Here is the console.I had to grind a little for proper fit, also added a compartment for iphone{music source}hole for cupholer and ac vent rather than cutting dash{installing VA right now}.I would suggest it,its well made and owner of company was helpful. Its headed to paint tomorrow, will post installed pics soon. |
