Re: NICE!! '68 swb on OKC CL $9550
Sweet! congrats! looks very nice, what are you "updating" on it? looks pretty well complete already.
Ewww well I can beleive it from you, seeing I know that you know your body/paint work I have seen it a few times from 20 yds but we all know how that goes. I have not seen it since a few weeks after the add posted. I wonder if it sold?

Re: NICE!! '68 swb on OKC CL $9550
I had to add new suspension. There was an old Brothers suspension setup on it and the previous owners had cut the front coils to lower it more. Couldn't get the camber right so I just put all new front coils, drop spindles, shocks and did the same out back and added a c- notch so it wouldn't bottom out. The brake calipers were toast so I just put all new lines, master cylinder, calipers, rotors, pads, ect.
Added all new Vintage Air system. This truck didn't even have a heater hooked up! lol. Now it has A/C and heat. Put new carpet and insulated the firewall. Had to clean up the under dash wiring as it was all tangled up. Then I started working on the engine bay and found the distributor mechanical advance was froze up so I dropped a new dizzy in there. Got new plugs and wires and had it running good until it blew a head gasket on my way home from town I was gonna fix it but I'm just gonna put a new crate motor in it. Cant make my mind up on which one to get though. I was gonna just throw a GM 290 in it and outfit the top half with Edelbrock intake and carb. Im sure I will want more horsepower so now it's between the GM performance 330hp HO or the 400hp yearone with aluminum heads. I considered the ZZ4 but the other two a little cheaper. decisions decisions .............. |

Yea the trim and chrome bumpers made a huge difference! Timeless is what I was going for.

I know, I was going to buy a repro until I read too many horror stories. I'm on the lookout for a decent factory one right now.

I saw that on the parts board is why I said that, it looks awesome the way it sits, but it is the small things. I missed out on the bed floor, good buy on that.

The red truck is beautiful! I get to stop by and see it every now and then, and wipe the drool off my chin.

Very nice truck. Can you provide wheels sizes and backspacing along with tire sizes. I am in the process of ordering some wheels and yours look like they sit perfect. Thanks
