New Guy with a old burb'

Hello all, I am the "new kid" on the block. I picked up a 1971 C-10 Suburban 350 v-8 th350 trans just your common burb' We picked this up as we have a large family, 6 kids 4 still at home, and the Durango is just not cutting it. Plans include updating from bumper to bumper a little at a time as I am also disabled and draw disability pay from the Army so as u can see it is a little at a time. Right now I am doing rust - rocker replacement on the r/f door. I am in the process of getting a camera so I can post some pics. I am sure I will ask a few ?'s that have been asked before for which I will apologize for in advance We live outside of Portland Oregon. Thanks in advance!
Mike

Welcome from a fellow Oregonian! This site is an invaluable source of great info. If you have not done so you may want to browse through the faq section. It contains some really cool upgrades and remedies for common problems with these old trucks.
