dana 44 hubs
i was wondering if i can convert a 6 lug dana 44 to 8 lug. i heard you can change the outters is that true?
the truck will be running 36x15 swamppers max. i can get a good deal on front and rear 6 lug axles from a 80s k10 with 4" lift springs with 35x13.50 toyo m/ts on 15" wheels. only thing is my trucks a c20 so its a 8lug |

To be safe and not deal with spindle diameters and stuff, swap everything from the knuckles out. The shafts and calipers can stay the same. Brake backing plates are different so be sure you have those. Posted via Mobile Device |

if it were me id just buy an 8 lug axle to begin with and swap that in to match the rear.
