neutral safety switch wires??
hye guys got another question...on my lokar floor shifter there is the neutral safetly switch with 2 posts, where do the wires go off them? is one a ground and the other goes to the starter? just wanna make sure what goes where and do it now so it will be easy to get at the starter before tomorrow when the inners go on, thanks in advance,

It should be for the start power feed. Volts in - volts out. Got it.

If your truck was originally an automatic, then look at the bottom of the column on the top of the tube, there is a plug with 2 purple wires...this is the harnes you need to wire to your new shifter.
As aesj2 implied, it does not matter which wire on wich terminal. |

on the column down by the floor is the neutral safty switch.
(on a stock auto truck) The two purple wires are the ones you need to connect to your new shifter. You will have to extend the wires. the others are your backup lights. On a standard manual shift truck you will have to find the wire that comes from your ignition switch and goes to the starter, cut that wire and run the two halfs you cut to the new shifter. to find the wire use a test light and when you turn the switch to the start position the test light will light up.
