K10 motor mount X-member
Can anyone send me a pic of the 1967 or like K10 motor mount x-member? It may be the same for small or big block. I think the 6 cylinder was different. Maybe someone has one laying out. Top and a front side view would be nice. Any extras out there?

Re: K10 motor mount X-member
Heres a couple pics of a small block cross member, there were no big blocks from the factory but most guys use this same one when converting, and you are correct the 6 cylinder cross member was different. Should be able to find one off the parts board or DIY4X makes a really nice drop out style with poly bushings.

Re: K10 motor mount X-member
thanks guys, I forgot to check email notification and just thot no one bothered to reply.
Since I did not have one with my 69 rolling chassis, I made one from the top of the 2wd front saddle. I added a little support and it works fine until I dropped the truck 2.5 inches. I used 72 springs and wanted a stock 67 k10 look. Looks good. So I was wondering if the stock mount had more clearances than mine. It looks like it pushes toward the front some which would benefit me. The tube one I see would work also- maybe even better- if it offsets a little to the front of the diff pumpkin. I have pics to look at now and will try to fabricate one again. |
