th350 shifting late and hard
finally got my truck in north carolina and noticed that it shifts way later than it ever has, and when it does shift it shifts hard. my dad replaced the carbeurator but thats all. anyone have any ideas on why its doing this?

Sounds like your dad may have knocked off a vaccum line, or hooked one back up to the wrong place when he did the carb.
The trans modulator needs a manifold vacuum hookup. On my vehicles, its a screwed in vaccum port on one of the manifold runners. Check the short sections of vacuum hose on both ends that its seated and still in good condition. Alex. |

X2 You may have to use a hose clamp at the modulator end if that in fact turns out to be the problem.
