Radiator support bracket ?

I am changing from a 3 to a 4 row.I have the 4 row brackets, upper and lower.Question is on the pass side core support there are 2 sets of holes.Which set does the 4 row bracket bolt to?Also looks as thogh the core support needs to be notched? Thanks.

Re: Radiator support bracket ?

You will need to notch the core support.Lay the radiator in place with the rubber out of the old brackets.IIRC the drivers side remains the same spot and the pass side will be different. You can lay the 4 core brackets on the top to see where it lines up with the mounting holes and that will show you where the rad needs to set.Mark the lip on the lower rad support. You don't need much trim but the lip will be in the way. Then remove the old lowers and put in the new ones.I used 1/4 in bolts or stovebolts, but you can weld them in also. Then put the rubbers in the lowers and set the radiator in place. The top mounts will line up with the holes.needed to bolt them down. They are the outer set on the top of the core support. I hope this makes sense. It took me about a hur but I stopped for a barley pop.

Thanks PanelDeland, just primed the new brackets and will install Sunday. If you remember the Cajun cook Justin Wilson,he called them "pop with foam on top".
